I have been creating art of different forms since elementary school. In high school I won a few art competitions and I was hooked. As I got older, life and work put my passion on hold for a period, but the love never faded and eventually I returned to my love of painting with oils. I have been creating art of different forms since elementary school. In high school I won a few art competitions and I was hooked. As I got older, life and work put my passion on hold for a period, but the love never faded and eventually I returned to my love of painting with oils. There is a feeling of growth in creating a painting during the weeks of drying and the layers of paint required to obtain a finished piece. As an artist, I draw my inspiration from the wind swept pine trees of the Georgian Bay area for my oil paintings.

I use many different types of canvases for my oil paintings, such as wood, white and black canvases. I believe that working on different surfaces, brings different feelings to the artwork. The use of the pallet and layers of oil paint create mouvement and depth to my work.

I enjoy spending time at my cottage up North and kyaking on the lake in the summer. When home, in my limited spare time, Many of my pieces are directly influenced by these moments spent in nature.
